"All those stories that delighted us when we were children, usually started this way :
"Once upon a time..." However, these short stories that I'm going to tell you, they
still continue today.

So, I can guarantee that there is someone, who is a grown up today, and loves dogs
in an exceptional way. Exactly the same way he loved them as a child.

Artur, I mean Bé (that was the way we used to call him, because he was the youngest
one at home and that is the short way for the word "Baby"), he always demonstrated
his love for animals, specially dogs.

But let me tell you those episodes that I mentioned before.

When Bé was three years old, he suddenly left his mother and run towards a huge Dobermann. For a moment everybody was in panic, since the dog's owner
immediately approached screaming to the child because the animal was very
dangerous. I asked him to stop and stay where we was. What happened next brought
in our eyes tears of tenderness : the child was giving a hug to the dog and the animal
was licking his face. The dog's owner could not believe in his eyes ! That animal was considered to be wild... Then, when the owner put the leash on the Dobermann,
the dog looked to the kid and Bé gave him a kiss on his snout. So, the animal left
with his owner, looking behind to the child several times.

Another short story : once, when all the family was going somewhere in the car,
the child started crying and asked to stop the car, because these was a small dog
walking on the road alone. We all tried to calm him down and, after a while, Bé
explained that he wanted to make company to the little dog because the little dog
had no friends, no home and could be hit by a car !

But, this is the same boy that, later on, when he was fourteen years old, used to
snuggle the dog before going to sleep. This, still, is the same boy that cried
desperately when his dog died due to a disease, and remained broken-hearted for a
long, long time...
Nowadays, that Bé is an adult, he overflows his love and tenderness for animals,
through the careful and devoted way that he deals with his dogs.

Congratulations, my son, for the lesson of Love that you give us.

D`ikòskylo is a word with Greek origin, meaning "Dog's House". We believed this would be theright name for our kennel, since we live with our animals everyday inperfect harmony as a family.
I have a passion for this breed since my early years and,
as soon as I was able to, I got not only one, but three dogs which have given me great results. During my first year
going to dog's contests, we got 28 first places among 36 participations. Such success gave me the enthousiasm to go further, becoming a breeder and helping to develop and improve these dogs that I always admired.
